AAUW promotes equity for all women and
girls, lifelong education and positive societal change. Founded in 1881,
with now 100,000 individual members and 1,300 college/institution partners,
AAUW is the oldest and largest national organization working for the
advancement of women.

Annual Book/Media Sale, netted
approx. $1,500. A big shout of Thanks to all who
assisted with the work involved.
2008 Annual Club Member solicitationtotaled
over $6,000. Thank you to the many, many members who donated
this year!
- sponsors lively Enrichment Groups matched to
members' interests. Want to start a new group? New
member Ann Greek has suggested a Daytime Book
Group. Contact her if you are interested. (See

- Community
activities include participation in and support for the Fall UN Weekend
and "Telling Tales" for young people. Congratulations to
Laurel Durenburger, Bonnie Cytron, and Peg Collins on receiving $500
grant from Mountain Lakes Women's Club to expand "Telling Tales."
- dialogue on State and National AAUW public policy issues.
Look for the cooperative voter registration initiative Fall 2008. Mark
Jan. 24, 2009 on your calendar: AAUW-NJ's "Pay Equity GapNegotiating"

for the Fall Open House at Julia Peterson's, Friday afternoon, September
